Answer for How to use a dehumidifier

Once you have purchased your dehumidifier, check to see that everything specified by the manufacturer is present. Refer to the user manual to know how to set up your dehumidifier. Ensure the buckets are firmly fixed and the built-in pump (if any) is properly fixed as indicated on the manual. When you turn on your dehumidifier for the first time, set the RH percentage to the driest level possible—Most dehumidifiers have RH settings as low as 30% and as high as 90%. After a couple of cycles, you can set the RH to a desired percentage—most people will keep it at 50%. The automatic humidistat will keep the percentage where you prefer it. Ensure your unit is properly maintained by regularly cleaning the filter, if your unit has a bucket, ensure it’s emptied at the right time.
